Frozen Shoulder
The term ‘acute capsulitis’ is
colloquially known as frozen shoulder, and its early symptom is
limited motion. You possibly have troubles with the diverse
motions of your shoulder, especially, if you are finding it
difficult to reach across your body, or behind your back, or
lifting your arm above your head.
Inflexibility and pain in the shoulder not making routine
motions possible are the characteristics of a frozen shoulder.
The shoulder may become absolutely stiff or frozen (hence the
label of this condition) or be afflicted with severe pain in
critical cases.
Who can be affected by frozen shoulder?
- Normally affecting 40 year olds
- More widespread in women
- Diabetics are five times more prone

Cause of Frozen
Shoulder
An injury to the shoulder is often at the root of Frozen
Shoulder. Yet, it also appears frequently without any evident
explanation. A theory encompassing the increased number of
female suffering Frozen Shoulder is that it is a hormonal
disease. Another theory taking into account the rounded
shoulder posture causing a shortening of one of the ligaments,
ascribes it to bad posture.

Bowen Therapy and Frozen
Shoulder treatment
Frozen shoulder has been successfully treated by Bowen
Therapy. There have been instances where no more treatment is
needed in less than 4 sessions.
Why choose Bowen Therapy to
treat Frozen Shoulder?
One of the greatest successes of Bowen Therapy is its
success of treating Frozen Shoulder. After the very first
session, a large number of clients found instantaneous
reprieve. To restore them to health by healing the condition
eternally, they normally require only a maximum of three more
sessions.
Note: Further sessions may
be required for long term pain.. Those people
who have been diagnosed by their Physiotherapist or their GP as
suffering from Frozen Shoulder discover the effectiveness of
Bowen Therapy in treating the pain and situation, rather than
Chiropractic treatment or Physiotherapy. Apart from a session
of Bowen treatment being around 40 to 50 minutes long, it is
relaxing, rejuvenating, non- manipulative and
gentle.
